The Seed Project

This is a work in progress...

Seed of Permanance .jpg

This project is in the early stages of development, exploring themes related to how the beauty of natural cycles and the presence of echoes create the permanence that we observe today. Etched in history, remembered through ancestral memories of how seeds and nature create cultural significance and influences the practice of the observance of these cycles

Works and Studies

These works in progress, pieces, and studies are echoes of the concepts of exploring the cycles of how we perceive nature through our memories. Each piece is a study on the cycles and balance of the elements, comprised of permanence.

The nature subject itself, flowers, seeds, and figures, is a reflection of the natural landscape of Maryland. Selected native plants like the Coneflower, are depicted to further explore the identity of these  concepts within the local diaspora.

The Seed (2025)

This is the first work currently being shown at the St. Mary's Art Council Gallery. It is the spark, the beginning, and the idea that led to the creation of this concept and project. It is the seed that starts the ethos.

The seed is an abstracted representation of the start of this new process and discovery within the context of this series.
